    Really he only was on 1 Super Bowl winning team, he didn't win that game by any means.

    He was good enough to wreck our chances for a playoff berth the last 10 years or so, give or take a few seasons. That means more to me, personally, than any super bowl wins/losses from another team's QB.

    That has more to do with our own incompetence, it's not like those teams were unbeatable. This team, from the coaches, FO, to players, has to rise up to the occasion and get better. Regardless of who is in the division and how good they are, we need to get to the point where we are the team everyone is scared to play.

    It's not about being scared. I think many people assume he wont be near as good as he's hyped to be. He's never looked amazing to me.

    Have you watched him play? He is probably getting over-hyped sure, but this is the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning himself. There is really no discernible flaw in his game, and the stats speak volumes of the type of production he has had in a pro-style offense.

    if you were andrew luck and the chances of you becoming a manning type QB is slim to none, even for great college QBs, and you see how bad your team is without a Manning type Qb, would you want to go there and do OK, and be 8-8 every year or worse. hell no

    I'm just saying the hype is already telling fans he'll be Peyton pt 2.

    Going to that team really puts the pressure on from those fans.

    And I don't see Peyton as the mentor type. I think he's far too full of himself for it. He's no team player and most teammates dislike him.

    Ryan Leaf was getting hyped about as much as Manning... and they were polar opposites.

    Again... assuming Luck isn't a bust.

    Leinart was considered NFL-ready, also.
