While I agree with you, that math doesn’t check out.

Plus 100/week seems a lot for gas unless you have a long commute for work.

Remember that an average is just that, an average. There will be places cheaper. People should stop acting like the average is the minimum.

Also, most of those places where it is expensive to live, like many California cities, are that way because local regulations make it hard to build affordable housing.

We had this conversation before. they are misrepresenting the numbers by using an average and pretending it is the floor. People in minimum wage do not rent at the average, unless they are complete idiots.

I really wonder how many people working minimum wage aren’t either

    A) renting with friends
    B) still at home with their parents
    C) high schoolers
    D) don’t have to take care of themselves for another reason

Why overpay all these people. Doesn’t make sense. No first time job having McDonald’s burger flipper deserves $15 an hour. This is buuu****

Using lazy prigtard talking points, if they were real, America couldn’t be surviving. Everyone would be living in cardboard biking to work

Yet that’s not close to the truth at all

I wonder how we’re all living in houses or apartments yet we don’t make close to what it costs to live in America!!! It doesn’t make sense!!

That is exactly right, all of those things. There are also plenty of places that rent rooms in a house. You can live.

Our minimum wage in Ontario jumped a lot recently. A corrupt government did it to try and get re-elected. It did not work.

Cost of a lot of things went up though.
