1- FALSE. Old Rush sounds like Black Sabbath sped up. (I'm a huge fan up to Moving Pictures )
2- I made a Rush fan out of a 17-year-old girl back in high school. She's 48 now and still plays them and thinks of me. hell yeah.
3- BIG UPS on the Tragically Hip post. They're enough to make me defect....assuming that y'all finally kill that SOB Harper. Happy owner of their postage stamps.

    And Rock Band.

Man I used to be king at Guitar Hero and Rock Band to the point that it got way too nerdy. What a massive fad those games were. But I enjoyed the hell out of them.

I'm thinking about trying that Rocksmith game out at some point.

Same here dude.. still play it every now and then for nostalgia's sake. I'm kinda sad I sold most of my gh/rb games and equipment, but it's probably a good thing I'm not spending that kind of time playing anymore lol.

    1. Listen again. You can hear the Rush influence in Metallica
    2. Well I guess if there can be "Bronies" there can be the odd female Rush fan
    3. In the 90s the Hip were the biggest thing. People treated them like the Beatles. And not a Harper fan but he the the lesser of 3 evils. Angry socialist Tom Mulcair and trust fund kid Justin Trudeau
You might like this if you have not seen it:

And if you ever have an urge to see Geddy Lee turn on a Blue Jays game. He has season tickets behind home plate.

aw man, I remembered getting hammered drunk with a buddy and ordering the 555 deal from Dominos while playing guitar hero.

I have spent far too much money on booze.

    1. I'm sure there is, because Rush was first and influenced boatloads of bands. Metallica showed up MUCH later....and that's why I said Rush doesn't sound like Metallica slowed down...they sounded like Black sabbath sped up. Or even not sped up. "Working Man" sounds like they spent all their free time listening to "War Pigs" and "NIB". Guitars are nearly identical in tone as is the solo constructs.
