I 100% agree with you but the reality is that there are only a handful of quality starters in the league at the moment, let alone serviceable back ups. Who would you have?

Cassel has been awful though in pre-season and in action last week so I really don't see how we are competitive at this point (hence why i agree with you)

Dating back to pre season games he has 0 TDs and 6 turnovers this year.

Hopefully you'll be in agreement after today's game. Cassel is just flat out terrible.

 

Also the fact that he looked horrible against a "play for nothing" Texans defense in week 17 last year.

I've never in my life seen a QB who looks so bad in intermediate routes like Cassel does.

I have absolutely no FAITH at all in him.

Indeed. That said, a QB could be trash and still be a better option than Matt Cassell imo. EJ Manuel would be better than Cassell for example. Imo, there are teams with a better 3rd string/practice squad QB than Matt Cassell.

I would take Fitztragick back over Cassell. Not even close.

 

Play his ass or trade him. Im sick of brittle as qbs. Big ben would laugh at mariotas injury.
