Obviously winning percentage isn't everything as it is also effected by the defense (Vince went 8-5 with the 2nd worst scoring defense in the NFL as a rookie), surrounding offensive talent (in Vince's two main years the Titans WR corps was below average and RB was average), and offensive schemes. While it would be fun to revise the list for all of those factors that's way too much work.

That said, as the head coach typically affects all of those items mentioned above one way to adjust the QB winning percentage is to compare it to his head coaches winning percentage. For instance, Jeff Fischer has a winning percentage of 54.6 and Vince's percentage is 64.5, so Vince's adjusted percentage would be about +10%.

Have you seen Orton play? He's actually not very good, same for Cutler. He has the occasional good game, then bombs with 3+ INTs.

Flacco on second thought I'd probably put on the other list.

Need more than two games to truly judge. Based on '07, I'd say bottom 10. Based on his performance this season, I would say at the bottom of the top half.

Thing is, he doesn't have to be close to being a top 10 QB in this offense. If he passes the football for 150-200 yards, keeps the turnovers to a minimum, and uses his legs to pick up first downs, he's exactly what the Titans need as long as the running game and defense is productive.

We'll know more the first time the offense has to rely on his arm to come back in a game when the opposing defense knows he's going to be passing. If he can do that, he'll vault up the rankings and be worth considerations as the Titans long-term answer at QB.

Even if we judge him by what he has done this year it still isn't all that impressive. He gets about 1 TD every other game and averages only 150 yards passing a game. Where does that rank him? Somewhere in Chad Henne, Trent Edwards, Shawn Hill territory. Good for him.

Why is it that QB's are judged on their passing yardage and passing TD/INT ratio, yet their rushing yardage and rushing TD's are dismissed? If you judge VY only on passing stats you are missing half of the equation. They are both part of the game that VY brings to the table. VY will probably never have the stats that a Manning or a Brady caliber drop back passer will have but combined with his rushing stats he will be more than comparable.

Yeah for some reason most people associate qb with passer, thought that is only part of being a qb. The other part is being a field general(getting out plays, calling plays, draw opposing players offsides, keep the offense going), as well as the athletic ability of some qbs. You don't see very many athletic quarterbacks because qb's like manning have no ounce of athleticism.

Also to the guy that chose Smith over Vince, keep in mind Smith is throwing to better recievers. Example: 3 of his touchdowns come from Vernon Davis

True but if you look at his career stats he's WAY better than VY. With a QB rating of 83.2 and more importantly 120 TD's to only 89 INT's (counting this years 13). While he's struggling so far this year the lowest rating he's ever finished a year with was 80.6 (except for two games he played in '99).

Your buddy Vince has a career QB rating of 69.5 (Jake's 11.1 higher than VY) with 23 TD's and 33 INT,s (No contest, Jake's an easy winner here). So yes, I'd say that over all and over the years Jake Delhomme is a better QB than VY. We're not going game by game here.
