You either think VY is extremely bad, or you have a pretty skewed perception of how bad Bulger, Edwards and Delhomme actually are.

The homer eyes are absolutely hilarious to watch games through. Ask a random football fan who is indifferent, and you will see MASSIVE difference. Same reason on the wagering menu, EVERYONE picks the Titans to cover EVERY week. That worked out well so far, eh?

Ask a random football fan about VY and they'd base their decision on stats from 2 years ago. Very few people have seen VY play this year. The two games were Titans/Jags and Titans/49ers, both of which had terrible national coverage (aka almost none outside of Nashville, Jacksonville and San Fran).

Also, I'm pretty sure most "homers" are realistic. Yeah, I'm a Titans fan, yeah I'm a VY fan. Do I really think he's top 10 in the league? No. Do I have faith in him doing well? Yeah. I think it's more unrealistic to put him below the likes of Bulger and Delhomme than to put him over guys like Campbell, Garrard and Henne.

From what I've seen so far since VY started playing, the so called "homers" have a much better grip of reality than the haters.

And where do the "skeptics" fit into the reality scale?

Guys on the list that appear to better:

    Brady
    Rothlessburger
    Palmer
    Flacco
    Manning
    Schaub
    Rivers
    Manning
    McNabb
    Romo
    Cutler
    Favre
    Rodgers
    Ryan
    Brees
    Warner
    Hasslebeck

Guys on the list that may be worse:

    Henne
    Sanchez
    Edwards
    Anderson
    Garrard
    Orton
    Russell
    Cassel
    Campell
    Stafford
    Delhomme
    Freeman
    Bulger
    Smith

VY's right in the middle IMO. He's tough to compare to all of these guys though because they're all for the most part pocket passers. VY's completely different obviously.

Skepticism is fine, it's realistic to have doubts whether VY will be able to keep up the way he's playing when looking back at his inconsistent past. As a matter of fact, I'm actually pretty skeptical myself. I hope he does well, but I really wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't keep this up.

The thing I have a problem with is idiots saying he hasn't played well this year cause he hasn't thrown for 300 yards and 5 TDs per game.

    QBs Clearly better:

    Brady
    Rothlessburger
    Palmer
    Flacco
    Manning
    Schaub
    Rivers
    Manning
    McNabb
    Romo
    Cutler
    Favre
    Rodgers
    Ryan
    Brees
    Warner
    Hasslebeck

    QBs Probably better:
    Henne
    Garrard
    Orton
    Cassel
    Smith

    QBs probably worse:
    Bulger
    Delhomme
    Campbell
    Russell
    Anderson
    Edwards

    Too Soon:
    Stafford
    Freeman
    Sanchez

I'd still take Smith over him even after last game, possibly because I've been a 49er fan alot longer than a Titans fan. If you want to yap about winning %, then Shaun Hill must be better than Vince right since (I'm pretty sure) he has a better/similiar winning percentage to Vince even though he's on the 49ers bench.

We'll see what happens as more games go by.
