Britt has played in 16 games for us since he entered the NFL. Injury concerns are always an issue when you mention Britt atm.

Cook, although athletic, is not very bright and will have to learn a new system if PM comes in. (assumption)

 

Cause I know as soon as we make the playoffs again, they'll be there too.

 

How bout vs San Diego? Every time we do well, they also do good things.

 

I agree that if we can have even some semblance of a passing game...that'll in itself help CJ.

However, if we cant stop the opposing team from scoring it'll be moot. Yes we are in a offensive..pass happy league. But you still need to play defense. May not have to be the #1 defense..but certainly better than what we gave last year where it felt like 4th string guys could have put up 120 yard games

 

Sure. I am also assuming that the line gets upgraded. That, plus defenses having to pay attention to manning, should make CJ better than last year. I mean damn, CJ was getting hit or having to cut in the backfield most of the time last season.

Is it a guarantee it will work? Of course not. But this is the ONLY move that makes it possible we contend this season.

 

We should have made the playoffs last year, even with that D.

That D relied on many young players that, you have to figure, with a full training camp, will improve.

Plus, you gotta figure we can get at least ONE contributor in the draft. Two would be reasonable.

Our defense should be better than the one manning one a superbowl with in Indy.

 

This is where I disagree. We contended last season, just were not consistent. How many points did the Colts put up on us again? (i really dont remember) and they SUCKED.

Our defense was not great last year, and its gotten worse since then.

Were running in circles, we understand each other, but have a difference in philosophies on what it takes to win.
