Alright- we've had over a week of TC and one pre-season game against a lower echelon defense. From what I saw, Henry has not made much, if any, progress in his ability to hit gaps, cutback or get yards after contact. Ganther did all of those things against several of the D-line and LB's that Henry did. I can only assume that the O-line's were the same.

Henry has had a 4 game suspension under the cloud of some type of "substance" violation. It was never made clear exactly what it was. Ganther appears to be cut from the character that Fisher loves- very hard worker, reasonably smart, family guy and a "team player".

I'd like to see Ganther get some touches against the Raiders #1's to really evaluate his skills. I think we all know (including Reinfeldt) how bad it makes the Henry reach appear if we practice squad him- but I'd hate to see us lose Ganther. I'm torn on who I'd like to see for our #3 back.

QG made quite an impression on me saturday night. He hits the hole hard and was able to sidestep and slide to the crease. Henry I'm still not sure about.

To be honest, I'm not impressed with either of them. Each and every one of our running backs on saturday dominated that rams defense. Our O line clearly opened up massive holes for the runners.

And besides, It's way to early to make this kind of decision. We have 4 preseason games for a reason.

As good as all our rbs looked, I think our O-line looked amazing and deserves the bulk of the credit for our good running game saturday. That and I think the Rams are a lot worse team than I thought before the game saturday.

Of the Rbs, it seemed to me that Chris Henry might've gotten the biggest holes to run through, but still seemed to head towards defenders, get taken down by first contact, and on other plays make bad cuts.

I voted for Ganther, but I certainly want to see both in a few more preseason games.

Fisher said keeping four running backs is a possibility, considering Ganther has experience at fullback.

please for the love of God, tell me we aren't debating this after one preseason game into the year.

At the moment, the easy choice is Ganther. I doubt Henry will do anything to change anyone's mind, considering he runs the same every time and only gains decent yardage when he guesses right. (rarely)
But there's still time. Ganther actually runs like a running back though, while Henry runs like someone trying to escape a 4x4 room that has caught fire.

I think the Jake Scott acquisition may turn out to be one of the best off-season moves we made.

I think it too early to decide, but after one game Q has an early lead.
