Kinda hard to say overrated when the SEC has won the last 5 championships. Haters keep making excuses though. Maybe if Oregon's defense could tackle better, Texas's OL would protect McCoy, and whatever excuse you guys could come up with is just that...excuses.

Tebow owned, Ingram owned, and Newton owned. LSU has had a great defense almost every year and the schools don't make it only beating one or two quality teams. Almost every week is a tough game in the SEC. Stoops will choke again, Boise won't make it, and I'm reserving judgement on FSU till I see more of them. Bama/LSU will make it 6 straight.

If you look at the jump to the NFL there are a lot of great players from the SEC and everyone brings up the QB position but there are some super bowl winners in there.

James got injured, that's not LSU's problem. You can't knock them for actually doing what they're supposed to do...just like the Bama/Texas game. What happened to the rest of that explosive offense? What about that defense? Sure they lost some starters but LSU lost their best player on the DL, LB, and DB last year. Peterson was a top 10 pick, best CB in football last year.

How much better is Lee? He was never that impressive either and Jefferson actually had some good games last year.

It's not that the people that disagree with you don't know crap about college football, it's that you're a delusional Auburn fan. :)

Neither did Alabama considering they should have lost a game where refs saved them by giving them 2 first downs and huge yardage on phantom pass interference calls... Never seen more of a fixed game in college to this date. GAVE them the winning drive.

Getting back to the OP, what conference you played in or what school you played for means nothing.

Heck, even what you do on the field means nothing.

Tom Brady couldn't get on the field and VY was a God in college.

    LOL...

SEC tends to have more top tier athletes, but the gap has been closing between the SEC and everyone else for years now.

    But back to the OP...

Sheppard will get some playing time and if he can earn more, more power to him. With Jones tending to get banged up and Morgan having his own injury problems, we may NEED Sheppard to do well this year!

Hawkins has impressed me. We don't spin the ball a million times a game, but he has shown he can get open, is quick and elusive, and can run after the catch. Will be interesting to see how he fares vs DWilliams for the slot WR spot and whether either of these guys can force Wash down the depth chart.

I put no stock in what conference either came from...they are currently both in the NFL. They have to earn it now.
