Well, in some aspects, I can understand the franchises decision with not getting many WR's....

There are a few guys that haven't gotten a chance to shine through yet...Chris Davis and Paul Williams. Roydell Williams is decent. Brandon Jones is decent sometimes. Supposedly Mike Williams is getting better (and thinner). I think they just want to push them into this new Dinger system and see what they do...you never know, they all might turn into studs. I'm not saying all of them, but the few that are good may get polished into great NFL receivers.

Gage is a solid player. Mcareins can play (but I don't know how effective he will be)

bottom line is this: I think after this year, the Titans will either make these recievers better or make them hit the road. The Titans recievers are on the hot seat this year and we'll see what happens. I think that the organization is smart enough to know when we aren't getting any production from our WR's. When the free agency/draft rolls around next year, I think they'll finally admit to their mistakes and take some playmakers and some draft prospects.

    I HOPE.

Any smart D coodinator heading into a game against us:
Blitz #1 corner often, considering our #1 wr can be covered by any #2 Cb, move weak side lb to 2nd string wr for coverage, stack 8 in the box, make them do the only thing they can do with the weapons they have, run.

Its going to be ugly we have a good o-line and running game but who is going to take our passing game seriously, we are the Jags of a few years ago, great d, good running game, no passing game. There is no reason to wait until our 7th pick of the draft to get a wr

the only thing i can think of is the FO must be REALLY happy with the development of paul williams.

at least that's what i'm hoping for.

Are you a new fan? Fisher has never made the passing game a priority.

I remember back in 2000 when I was arguing with my friends who don't know squat about football. It was when St. Louis was the "greatest show on turf" and they were utilizing the west coast offense. Our new NFL fans were getting frustrated with Fisher's old school ball control. Too bad we can't get a good balance.

I think it's the nature of the beast. The Titans offense will utilize the TE and RB in a higher percentage passing game.

In a couple of years, as Young develops, maybe the focus changes as it did with McNair and the Titans will look to upgrade WR. But that development could be with someone currently on the roster as it did with Mason.
