This is the ganja smoking quote right here.

We can't make an honest appraisal of last years draft yet so how can we automatically say this years sucked? GMs are not like coaches and it will take 4 seasons before we can ascertain if MR has done well. We have made bold picks in the first rd of the last 2 drafts. It will take until the end of 09 to know if those 2 picks have worked out. Griffin looks like he is going to be a damn good safety. Now lets find out what johnson can do..

    NR vs reese..

If we were talking right after the 96 draft about floyd reese could we know then if he was good at his job? He had just drafted eddie george and last years top pick steve mcnair hardly played in 95.

Reese's best pick from 97 wouldn't shine until 2000. Mason.

Our 2nd rd corner from 98 was only a NB that year so who would have guessed he would be a shut down CB for the next decade? Rolle.

Our top pick from 2000 was an OLB who mainly played 3rd down and special teams for 2 years, bulluck. What a great pick he was!

Stewart wasn't even active his whole rookie year. Bust!

Only a handful of reese's top picks shined from the beginning. Eddie, kearse, roos. John thornton was a 2nd rd pick from 99 who did start and played well. Can't think of too many more.

Young, George, Kearse, Bulluck, McNair, Rolle, Roos, Finnegan, Haynesworth, you know the best players the Titans have had. Well at least the first 6. Can't compare if MR is better until years from now to see how his players develop. Right now though it's Reese>MR.
