That's really not that much of a starting point. I'd argue that every team in the league has at least that to build on, especially since that #2 QB hasn't come close to playing up to that billing.

I understand that the 2016 2nd round picks are a big blemish on his resume. And unfortunately, that's the only class that has been around long enough to get a proper evaluation on. But look at those picks, and compare that to picks that he's made in subsequent drafts. It doesn't add up. He couldn't even accept the job without accepting Mularkey. That tells you a lot about the influence that he had at the time. Mularkey calling Murray directly after the Henry pick tells me a lot about that draft process.

From what we know about him, does he really seem the type to draft a 2 down back after trading for a starter? Or draft a DE to convert to OLB although we have 2 guys with 3 years remaining on their contracts? He drafts for need, and not a one of those was need picks. On a team full of needs. I even question him trading all of that capital for a RT. He ultimately accepts responsibility, but we also know how the organization was run before, and the infatuation that Amy had with Mularkey. Personally, I feel if he had his own scouting staff and the faith of his superiors, that draft would have gone differently.

Eagles got a steal there. 3rd rounders are 3rd rounders....Tate is a solid player and more importantly, proven to be consistent.
