You do have valid points, but I don't think that it's fair to evaluate exclusively on a pick by pick basis rather than the improvement of the team as a whole.

And you have to keep in mind that he had a former failed scouting staff in place when he took the job, and that Amy was absolutely infatuated with Mularkey. He was the one who called Demarco after the Henry pick, nothing we've seen from J Rob suggests that he would spend so much capital on one position after already having a starter. Same with Dodd and Johnson. All 3 of those guys just don't fit the athletic profiles of the players selected by Robinson in later drafts. You have to suspect that someone else was a major influence at that time.
