Rumor Golden Tate being traded?

If this doesn't get done, it is because J Rob didn't try. It has nothing to do with us being in arguably the worst market for an NFL team or having a QB who has been outplayed by Blake Bortles for the past two seasons.

 

I would anything other than a 1 or 2.....

 

If you're JRob, you have to at least pursue this. What you have provided to your franchise (possibly long term) QB is simply unacceptable.

You missed on Taywan Taylor, Jonnu Smitih, and Corey Davis still has the jury out on him. Based on your draft track record, you have to go after a guy like Tate who can lead this group vocally (and statistically), for at least 3 years.

 

I normally would be a no on this. However, if the Titans intend to win this division this season, keeping him from going to Houston could be as important as having him on the Titans. I'd consider sending a 4th for him.

 

. Tyler Boyd was marginally more productive than Sharpe in his first season. Hell, in his second season. Look at him now. Look at Adam Thielen now compared to what he was in year two. Writing these guys off after a year and a half in two systems is way premature. And let's not pretend that this is how he envisioned the lineup.

 

I'm not saying to cut them or rotate them completely out, but if you want to make the playoffs this season, those guys simply aren't ready to do so as a unit. Smith is straight up terrible, but Taywan needs more time. Bring in a guy like Tate to can be the vocal leader and show them how to both prepare and perform.

 

He plays for Patricia who coached for Pats, so he's got the Kevin Bacon six degrees thing going for him.

We need to make a move , Tate or DeSean . If JRob doesn’t make a move though , what exactly is he saying? What’s the angle? Cheap? Wants Mariota to fail? Scared to give up draft capital?
