Cassel would've been enough to beat the Texans.

Man, yesterday was just a horrid day for us from every angle.

 

I think Cassel's track record is why people think he can't win. He hasn't had any success since he brief stint in KC.
I think he's better than the average backup but not starting material. Plus 17K isn't a very good milestone. That currently ranks 128th all time.

 

I find it hard to believe he hasn't had a chance to compete for another starting gig since losing his in KC then in Minnesota. Also wouldn't want to forget about the golden opportunity given in buffalo and again in Dallas that he squandered.

 

I was pulling for the Bengals hard. I wasn't in the shout box because 1) I rarely go in there and 2) it was Christmas eve and I was visiting my parents and eating cookies and playing with the cat and whatnot.

 

Mariota wasn't enough to beat the Texans the first time around, so that's rather presumptuous.
