Givens Won't Play Rest of Preseason

    SUMMARY: WR David Givens continues to deal with a strained hamstring and isn't likely to participate in the Titans two remaining preseason games. "It has been frustrating because I came into training camp in great shape, and aside from missing couple of days when I was sick things were going good," Givens said. "My opportunity to catch more balls was going to be Game 2 against the Broncos, so it was frustrating not being able to be out there. I've missed some time, but I don't think I missed a significant amount that is going to make me digress as a player." Givens feels he will be 100% once the season opens.

    well it isn't good thats he is hurt now, but im sure he will be back, does anyone know how many games he played last season, and what his history of injuries are?

    he's started 22 games in the past two seasons. he's been in four seasons. His first and second year starts were limited. season totals are 12 ('o4) and 10 ('o5). there seems to be a apparent history on injury but I don't think that alot of it was much of a big deal, but it kinda says to me that he doesn't practice for injuries he's had, or else he wouldn't make these reports, because if he practiced anyway, the team wouldn't be obligated to list them, nor would they. it's only a yahoo search but I found him injured with each search query. search= "david givens" injury heel knee leg chest ankle
