He's pretty accurate too with his strong arm. Very few QBs coming out of college are playing a pro style offense and a lot don't take the majority of snaps from under center. Bradford came from the spread so what did St. Louis do they added some spread formations and used him in the shotgun this year. You want a perfect QB right out of college right now and the reality is there is none.

Why would anyone draft him 1st overall?

We don't even know if he can catch or run routes yet.

    :)

I want a qb who has shown the necessary skills it takes to play at the NFL level in college. Cam Newton has not shown that. What Cam Newton has shown is he is big, fast and can hit guys running wide open down the field after the coverage has broken down because the safeties are more worried about run support.

I will say... at least Cam does have the balls to show up at the combine. That shows how much he believes in himself and wants to prove doubters wrong.

Still don't think he's a serious QB prospect- but hey... he's trying.

Making one read is not reading a defense. Waiting for the corner to make a decision to go deep or stay short and throwing the opposite of what he does is not reading a defense.
Take a guy in the top-eight who doesn't know the fundamentals of the position he plays. Great idea.
So we should just adopt Auburn's offense. Gotchya.

Read my post before the one you responded to. And if running the same offense Cam ran at Auburn gets us what it got him and his team, then yea, let's do it.

same thing people said about tebow.....he has done well for when he played.....

and nice point about the rams and sam bradford, not every formation has to be shotgun just take the process slowly....any player you take in the top 10 has the chance to be boom or bust so everyone is talking up the defensive players and running down cam....ill admit cam has his work cut out for him just like tebow but if he has the work ethic tebow has he will succeed and look at pacman when we took him in the top 10 or wherever we drafted him in the first round....people need to open there eyes and realize anyone we take can be a stud for us or suck...

and we cant say that so and so is gonna be good or a stud for us because not one of them has played a single nfl game and we dont know what they are going to do once they become a millionaire in a single day...

Three games is hardly even a decent sample size, especially when one of those defenses is the Texans.

And when they were all garbage end of season games that meant nothing to either team playing.
