Reason being, I don't know too many coaches that go against their owners wishes and still have a job. Do you think the Fish will stand up to Bud and say no? Correct me if I'm wrong, but If KFC starts and bud decides to fire fisher due to insubordination, the Titans wouldn't have to pay the Fish the rest of his contract.

So who else is with me? Put in #5, it might even help us get a better draft pick.

Some say #10 might win this game for us, and I don't disagree, because #5 could win this game for us just as well.. When receivers start catching balls, disasters are averted on special teams, and the time of possession is controlled by a good run game with a few lucky breaks, thats usually enough to put a W on the scoreboard.

Which leads me to the larger question I pose in this thread?

Are people who hope for losses in lieu of better draft picks when a playoff appearance is not possible... are these people bad fans?

I think Fish tried to convince Bud that it hasnt been all of Kerry's fault and Vince isnt the answer. The way he said "its our decision" makes me think that he talked Bud into letting Collins go (start) on Sunday.

But I dont know, I could be completely wrong ha

To answer your question, I dont think someone is a bad fan necessarily just because they hope we lose to get a better draft pick.

Its obvious right now that we dont have a chance at the playoffs, so a #1-5 draft pick would be REAL nice at this moment. But if we come out and play with heart on Sunday and get a good win, then Ill hope we try and get 10 straight (even if its impossible)

It really depends on Sunday though.

    Interesting view Erick.

Lane Kiffin didn't get zip of his $2 mill guaranteed money when Al Davis fired him. Davis just gave him the finger.

Also I think that fired coaches only get there guaranteed money if they don't coach elsewhere during th remainder of there contract term.

Shanahan is getting almost $5 mill this year to quietly wait in the wings. He stands to get $14 mill through 2011. As soon as he signs for anyone the Broncos owe him nothing from the day his new contract starts.

Bud could fired Fisher and not really worry about having to pay him.

Childress, given what you've said... could a coach, lets say fisher, go work for ESPN for a few years and collect a check from the titans because he's not coaching in the NFL?

Out of Fisher's own molestache, he said that Vince would start when Collins started losing. Mr. Adams wants Vince to start. The players want Vince to start. People in the front office want Vince to start. Heck, my cat wants Vince to start! Vince will start on Sunday.

Oh, and I would think that fans would be more saavy by now. Just because you're 1st doesn't mean that you are getting the best pick. Keith Bulluck was 30th overall and he is one of the best linebackers in the NFL with longevity.

I wonder if we'll hear Fisher tomorrow say what he did about the RB situation last season in that he'll play both and stay with whoever is hot.

I think Vince starts but, if he's not accurate, we might see Kerry on the next drive... or vice versa. I don't think he's going to keep in whoever he starts if things turn sour for the entire game.

Then, whoever has the most production is the starter for the next game... until they blow it.

Nah, Vince starts and after a few series, he will explode. The team is excited about Sunday, so I think they will win.
