Genard Avery late draft ILB

Center still in play. I think they dig Billy Price and James Daniels

 

Neither in for a visit though.

I think you have to be more strategic when picking late as too many people ahead of you can foil the plans. Playing cards closer to the vest makes sense and may be why the last two years’ trend of picking who came in for visits may not play out this year.

 

that would be true, if not for..... jack conklin

and almost all 1st round talent guys, it's damn near impossible to keep the media at bay --- so they're gonna know..

 

Not sure what your point is here. We traded back then up on draft day and took Conklin and not toward the bottom of the draft at the get go.

 

point is we HAD TO go up and get conklin....

Jack was JROBS guy at 15 (made a visit and all) but knew he couldn't get to him from there


I'm saying it all boils down to pre draft visits -- you don't take a 1st round pick without bringing the talent in for some type of visit --- otherwise you're gambling a fortune worthy round or pick for a 'shot in the dark;
