    Never played any of these Metal Gear games. Are they really that great or is it just this particular one. What makes them so good? Graphics?

    Graphics are great. If you like to hide in video games this is the one for you. I remember having to hide in a cardboard box to get through a level, at that point I turned the game off and went back to watching grass grow.

    Metal Gear is kind of slow sometimes, but the stories are amazing. I play the games just for the boss fights and story.

    The good thing is, the game is never ruined or given away from previews and videos, getting info from the developer is like getting blood from a stone and as an example, everything you see from Metal Gear 4 thus far, is in the middle east which apparently is only the first part of the game.

    But Metal Gear is awesome, but it also depends on your tastes. It's not a shooter (although it is possible to play the 4th one in FPS mode) and the storyline is quite complex that will sometimes leave you thinking '....wtf?'
