As noted in great depth from the Dolphins game, Mariota playing would not have changed Mularkey's inability to challenge obvious plays. That would be the fumble where 2 extra players and coaches entered the field of play and the 3 and 1 run that was stopped short of the first. Although in fairness, Mularkey did say he didn't realize he had another TO to challenge the run despite calling a TO 20 seconds after the play.

He made the call, hired an inept OC to run a boring dinosaur system. Always gets out coached and loses to our divisional rivals.

Offense didn't look boring against Jax and Seattle. Mariflota and Defense laid an egg in Houston.

Who has Mariflota beat in the division, I don't hear you firing him.

You can't take the instincts out of a player, you know this JC, don't play coy.

What? This is Gail the snail type argument here.

Mularkey, the HC and responsible for the play of 53 players, practice, and numerous coaches (some of which he appointed) is less responsible than Mariota, the QB and arguably supposed to be leader on offense.

Even IF you put all the lack of division success on Mariota, isnt it still Mularkey's fault for continuing to play him?

IMG_0229.GIF How many yards is T.Y Hilton getting?

He had 177 receiving yards last week, and he's going up against Brice McCain and Adoree Jackson on 10 yard cushions this week. Lord knows Ryan doesn't cover #1's.

I'm optimistic he stays under 100. Not due to good coverage but because the ball gets spread around to all the other open WR.

Mariota was the only one trying against Houston. He runs the plays he is told to run. This is on the coaching staff not Mariota.
