    Honestly you can make the case for doing something like this....he would immediately upgrade RG. Ben Jones is under contract for 2 years, but if we wanted to save over 6.25mil next yr then you cut Jones after this season. Let the new guy learn the system for a year and then step in to be starting center for years.

    Would be fine with it if we traded down not as excited if picking in our spot.

    JRob does plan ahead with his picks and the cap. I doubt the Casey move just suddenly happened.

    Who is our backup center now???

    a better solution would be find a good OL coach, other top lines don't have 17 1st rd picks invested

    Well, we currently have one first round pick invested in the offensive line.

    The pick is late enough in the round to justify it, IMO. This is not a premium selection. Take a good player if he's there.
