I like him damnit

 

I am seriously wondering what is going on here? How can we whiff so bad with FA wideout help? Besides Rishard, every other WR we have could not start for any other team, we need targets for MM8. Ok yes we have draft picks and will draft a WR or 2 but damn we can't fign a FA vet?

 

We are planning on pounding the rock down their throats again. All we need is 5 Wr's that can run short 5-10 yard outs and slants just to keep the Defense honest.

 

Can't be too predictable and one-dimensional.

 

There's still a good while till training camp. There will be some cuts/trades after the draft and near OTA's. I think we're going to target a WR pretty early in the draft as well.

 

This is the part of FA where you bring in quality depth. Sounds like this guy would fit right in and be an upgrade on Schwenke.

 

But but but we let Schwenke go.... how will we ever replace him?

The FA wideout market was atrocious, that's what happened. Jeffrey was way too expensive for a guy who was recently suspended and can't stay healthy, Britt was an obvious no, and Jackson is a dingbat. Other than that, you've got a bunch of guys about on the same level as Sharpe in terms of talent, and Pryor, who J Rob (and every other GM) tried to work a deal with. Round 1 should bring a legitimate #1 guy as good as any listed above, and one will likely be taken later on. Could be worse.

Anquan Boldin is still out there. Still serviceable and his work ethic is ridiculous. He's the guy you want in the locker room to rub off on the young guys...him, Matthews, tajae and Mike Williams.
