^yep. Tulloch is clearly the better player, but Fisher's an idiot that sticks with his pals. No matter how much they suck.

Fisher wants consistency. Fowler gives it to him. Tulloch doesn't.

Even in the great stop by Tulloch in the playoff game, he went running off the field celebrating as LT fought across the goal line. Hopefully, Tulloch has learned and can push for more playing time this season because he's clearly the bigger playmaker.

lmao. Consistently bad is not a good thing. I'll take the 10 tackles every other game than the 10 tackles in 10 games that fowler gets.

Tulloch is far more consistent. He actually does something while on the field rather than chase people and show up late to every play.

I prefer Tulloch. Here is a picture of my son and I getting the chance to meet him. Not to gush, but he really is a hell of a guy. Meeting him was really cool. He really seemed seemed to enjoy the celebrity of being a baller.

Anyways, I don't think the job is his. Nor should it be at this point. Criticize Fisher all you like but I agree with the philosophy that says "should an injured guy become 100% his job will be there when he returns". Let the job be Fowler's to lose. Camp is coming up. May the best man win. I don't think Tulloch is much of an underdog. He's showed a lot.

ps- I like big plays. Should we try to sign Brad Kassel?

They'll probaly split time this season and next season Tulloch will start.

He showed a lot...more than Fowler ever will. That's the problem. This is another case of "I dont care if you play 5x's better, I like this guy, so he'll play more than you" from Fisher.
He does it every year at one position or another, and usually the only way to change it and upgrade that position is by injury, or by the guy leaving. (See: Eddie, Steve, Lamont-I-cant-even-make-3rd-string-anywhere-else-Thompson, Reynaldo, Sirmon, etc etc etc etc...) Fisher doesn't learn from these things. He knows he's in the wrong, but he just doesnt care. He'd rather let his little friends play than win games. I truly believe that.

39 tackles in 14 games is not consistent.
Tulloch got half the playing time and had 34.

Someone please explain to me how Fowler is more consistent, better, or deserving of his starting spot. Anyone? So save that 'oh yeah, he makes big plays' stuff. Yeah. He makes big plays because he's actually around the ball when he's in the game. Unlike Fowler. I'll take big plays + WAY more tackles over consistently crap.

According to what I've read, that's not the case. Tulloch overruns the play and misses assignments. That kind of thing can't happen if you want the defense to execute.

I was far from impressed with Fowler but it was his first year and I was hoping we'd see an improvement in his play this season.

That's the rumor, that he gets himself out of position. But even if he does, you cant argue - he gets more tackles than Fowler. So wouldn't that be more important?
I like results. Fowler doesnt even get his name called on sundays. I think I remember him making 1 good tackle where he came up on a receiver as they were trying to bring the ball in. But other than that, this guy might as well had not even suited up.

    Come on..

We all know that you can't lose your job while rehabbing from injury unless the injury reduces your ability to perform. See david givens.

There is a reason why fowler had the starting job after a camp of competition and there is a reason why they went our and signed a MLB last year when they knew what tulloch could do. There obviously is something about tulloch they don't like. Maybe tulloch is the ben troupe of the defense.

Tulloch did have 3.7 more tackles per game than fowler so he must be really missing a lot of assignments out there.

Maybe they think fowler will do better after a year in the system..
