Forget Mocks -- Look At Visits to See What The Draft Will Look Like (Happy to be wrong about the 1st

    I will preface this by saying I hope I am wrong about a lot of what I am about to say

    Two things to know about the how the Titans will draft:
    1. What the Mock drafters think should happen will impact how the Titans draft
    2. What you/we want to happen will not impact how the Titans draft
    Instead we need to look at who the Titans have had visits with. Specifically private and top 30 visits: 2018 NFL Draft Prospect Visits Tracked by Team

    MCM has a good analysis on JRob's past drafts: 2018 Titans NFL Draft Primer: Picks, Needs, and pre-draft visits

    Out of nine day one and two picks Derrick Henry was the only one who they did not have a private or top 30 workout with. Kallen Reed (last pick of the draft) is the only one out of 19 whom they did not meet with.

    What I think the visits this year tell us:
    1. JRob wants to trade down -- he has met with very few top prospects. @VondyP
    2. If he is not able to trade down then I think Sam Hubbard is the likely pick
    3. We will probably come away from the draft with at least one Wide Receiver, Safety and Edge -- based on the number met with
    4. OL, TE and DL meetings were minimal
    5. All RBs met with are day three prospects and similar to Dion Lewis
    6. They are looking at a late round QB
    7. ILB meetings were not as numerous as I expected

    1. I agree with 100%. JRob wants to move down, he doesn't see the value at what will likely be available at 25.
    7. This could tell us he expects to start Compton and Woodyard, with Brown continuing to develop, and maybe target it next year.

    its official, Jon Robinson has a fetish for small RB's

    doesn't workout Henry before the draft, drafted Mia, signed Dion, and now is only looking for other shortys are RB..

    The Patriot way is strong in TN.

    it is in the OP -- 18 out of 19 previous draft picks by JRob are guys we met with. The only guy we did not meet with was the very last pick in the 2016 draft.
