I would be ok with this if Mularkey lets the new coaches do their thing and not just trot out the same hot mess.

Have the trials and tribulations of Goff and Wentz taught us anything? No matter the player and how much talent he possesses a good teacher is required for him to reach his full potential. I've never seen a player overcome bad coaching. Mariota has already proven that he belongs in this league. This scheme we are running does not. Its already been figured out in the past and Mularkey was ignorant enough to bring it back. He got away with this crap last year but like every other stop he has been in its come back to haunt him. Heck teams started figuring this offense out towards the end of last year. Why are people so surprised that its carried over into this year? These coaches are who we thought they were. Get Mariota a fresh new innovative group of coaches around him and he will flourish.

No way I walk from Mariota at this point. He's shown too many flashes to start over. This coaching staff though, yeah they can all go. Only way I'd even consider keeping Mularkey was with a new OC and QB coach, and I'd want JR in on that decision as well. Someone who will play to the players' strengths, instead of forcing them into and antiquated scheme from a few decades ago.

Yesterday's game was beyond frustrating. I wouldn't be shocked at 8-8 or 9-7 at this point. The 49ers are ok, so that game will go down to the wire. The Rams have to high of an offense, that'll be a blowout, or at least a 2 score loss. Then they'll be playing for their lives vs a Jags team that has shown much more this year. What a mess.

I would simply like to see a staff that builds the offense around Mariota instead of forcing him into an system arbitrarily, just to see how he performs.

Do you keep Mularkey as a HC knowing that his willing to get rid of his playbook and let his new OC design one..... or you wouldnt mind using the same one and just keep on adding to that 50 pages of basic plays?

Keep Mariota, bring in Matt LaFleur. Dude is the real quarterback whisperer. What he did with Ryan and then Goff the last two years is insane.

Draft a developmental QB. Or get a good backup that can push Mariota. When you're envious of Brissett... that's an issue.

At the very least, bring in a new OC. Personally think Mularkey needs to go as he's never going to be what we need anyway.

    Josh McDaniels. HC/OC in one.

I don't know that it's ever going to be completely either/or. There's a constant conversation and give-and-take that will happen between the HC and OC. But my hope (and come on, folks, we're all dreaming here if we think the front office is going to make really bold and strategic moves this offseason), but my hope would be that someone (JRob, maybe) makes it very clear to Mularkey that his vision for the offense isn't working and there has to be a change. If he wants to stay as HC, then he has to be willing to allow a new OC to design a new system. He can (and should) have input, but it has to be driven by someone else.
