Fisher getting cooked by ESPN writer Sal Paolantonio

Um...

How do you figure that? By taking over a terrible team, not having a home field for a few years and building that team into a strong SB contender his first try as head coach? And then having to tear it apart and rebuild it again...which it appears he has done and ready for another run....

So why exactly would an owner fire him???

Last few years the Titans have been in rebuilding mode. That's not Fishers fault that's the FO for not keeping the team under the cap.

 

Why is it almost everyone on these message boards are constantly demanding that every claim or opinion that you express be backed up by facts................That is EXCEPT when it comes to Jesus H. Fisher. When it comes to "The Holy Titan Father" It suddenly doesn't matter what the facts are.
They start proclaiming the same make excuses crap. They sound just like "Father Fisher" does after a game on Titans Radio, making excuse after excuse in what i call "FISHERSPEAK"
I don't care if the titans didn't have a home. I don't care if reese spent all the money and the titans had to BLOW UP the team. There is no proof whatsoever that that stuff effected the team. For all we know that crap is what built the character of the team and got them to the superbowl.
Facts don't lie people. Read Sal's article. Or if you want, just dig up one of my old threads from last year about this same subject and read it.
That's what Sal did. How else can you exlain the fact that he just spouted all the same FACTS and statistics about fishers win loss records?
Fisher is mediocre at best.

 

Reese built that team and eddie as a runner was no more effective than any average back. Fisher built the team around eddie? Hopkins and matthews were already there when fisher became coach and reese picked up wycheck off waivers in 95. Bishop and robertson were already there.

It was also reese who drafted mcnair when fisher supposedly wanted kevin carter more.


How great a coach does it take to hand the ball off to a 1st rd RB 20 times a game? So john robinson was a genius for building the rams around dickerson? Wayne fontes a genius for building the lions around barry sanders? Jack pardee a genius for building the bears around payton? Where do you get that concept from?

8 pro bowlers in one season and fisher had no talent?


Now watch gut will give fisher credit for developing those players.

 

Because no other owner makes excuses for their coach's mediocre record. It's win now or move on. That may not be fair, but that's the way every other owner does it.
Fisher's been able to languish just above .500 here longer than he ever would have been allowed to anywhere else.

 

Bud gave Fisher the win now or move on ultimatum...twice.

 

Fisher had 15 pro bowlers in which 11 of those players made it in two seasons.

So in the 11 other seasons Fisher had 4 Pro Bowlers...where is this so called talent?

How many of those listed started their career under Fisher?
