How many of those coaches took over a lame duck team leaving a city and played in 2 rinky ding college stadiums with no fanbase? Certainly not Wade Phillips who walked into 2 great situations in Buffalo and Dallas. Do the New England fans care that Belichicks record with the Browns (and without Hall of Fame QB Tom Brady) was 36-44? Rex Ryan and his 9-7 record is special?

Jeff Fisher's winning percentage with the TENNESSEE TITANS (the team with an NFL stadium and a fanbase) is .591. That's in a small market and no John Elway, Tom Brady or Drew Brees.

You can't include guys who haven't been coaching in the league for at least 4 years. LOL @ Gailey being on that list. Isn't this supposed to be active head coaches??? Plus, he only coached two seasons in '98 and '99!!!

If Brad Childress didn't have AP and/or Favre he wouldn't be coaching right now.

If Belichick didn't cheat so much his win percentage would be pretty similar to Fisher's.

That is a horrible list when comparing coaches to Fisher. Only two or three of those guys are definitely better. The rest are pretty even or not even close to being on the same level as the Fish.

I went to every game in Memphis and Vandy, there was a huge fanbase at almost all the games - course they were wearing visiting colors...

Only 6 teams have won an AFC Championship since the Tennessee Titans began play and "we" are one of them. Looks like we have more to show for it than 10 other teams in the conference.

And that's what people need to realize. This team in this city, with this owner SHOULD and could be the Browns, Chiefs, Raiders and Rams!

Ian Eagle was asked this week if the Titans can rekindle the magic of the 2008 season.

"There is no doubt the Titans snuck up on people in 2008. Kerry Collins caught fire and the defense was dominant. It would be too much to expect this year's team to live up to the squad of two years ago. Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and New England are probably the class of the conference right now, after that I think it's wide open in the AFC. Jeff Fisher has proven in the past that he can get the most out of his players. I think the offense will do the job, I wonder how the defense will fare over the long haul."

This is why Fisher is considered one of the best. It's the reason every guy not named Derrick Mason aren't as good when they leave Nashville. It's the reason us fans have the perception that guys like Michael Griffin are premiere players in the NFL when the rest of the leagues fans have no idea if he's a free safety, strong safety or corner.
