Whatever man the game play is definitely looking way better.. my only beefs with 07 was the way the players ran , looked , and the ability to not use any defensive playmakers.

Gameplay for me wasn't all that bad although not being able to intercept the ball like in past games was a little bad and the bs sideline catches that would always get called a catch even if only 1 foot was in.

08 looks to have fixed every single problem I just mentioned and added a whole buch of diffrent things. The ability to break out of a tackle at any time , mid air collisions , sweet endzone and sidelines catches , the weapons system....

I can say... this is the first time ive been excited for Madden since 2005.

  2. amen to that ryan

I agree, it looked good. I'll be checking out once the reviews are released, but it looks to be much improved. I haven't bought madden for some time, using 2k, but I like the look and feel.

It looks the EXACT same. I hate EA. I buy this stupid game every year too, but man I hope 2k8 pans out because this is getting ridiculous.
All these new features are old features. They had player intros before, now they just have a screen that flashes over them and tells their name. Most people skip these anyway, so it's a waste of time.
Gang tackling happens in ncaa 2007, so why is it such a big deal on Madden 2008?
One handed catches (not as extreme) were in NCAA as well. Not really a new feature.
The graphics are exactly the same.
There's STILL no Madden or Al Michaels commentating to make it feel like a real game. We get this crappy radio announcer who is extremely boring. By now the commentary should be so packed that it never stops just like a real game, but instead there's a lot of dead-time with this radio guy. Just moments of silence everywhere.

It's frustrating. Maybe 2k will push EA to actually try next year.

Calm down man. Gameplay should be the only thing you should worry about. The graphics look better so I have no idea why you say it looks like same. Look at the way the players run in this game compared to last year. They fixed so many retarded problems.

The radio guy is annoying but so what. A game shouldnt be judged on the little things.

This is still 2 months away from being released so give it time. It can still get even better.

It's the little things that make the game realistic. Like in 2k8 how the receivers lose footing and have to catch up to the ball. Things like that.
But if there's one thing I have no confidence in EA with, it's gameplay. It usually seems like they focus less on it than anything else. I'd be happy if they brought back Create-team mode, but instead they'll probably give us more clips of Hall of Fame players for some odd reason.

Well I know they brought back alot of things that they didn't include in 07. Such as edit player , fantasy draft , black shoes , ect..

And about the thing you said how the receivers stumble and you said it makes it look realistic well I can pretty much tell you that they will probably most likley stumble like that every other play and happen too many times and will get annoying as soon as it seems cool.

Even if they do that every play, it's no worse than opposing fans cheering for you when you score a TD in madden. Or your qb holding on to the ball before the defender even touches him.
Many people prefer the last version of 2k football released over current madden's. That says a lot. I'm going to try both and get which seems better. I just hope EA brings a lot more than what they're showing us, because so far it's a lot of the same ol' stuff.

Or the fact that you go in for a sack on the opposing quarterback, and he just nonchalantly drops the ball, and it's ruled an incomplete pass. That pisses me off.
