You need to develop a tolerance because even if a referee allows three bad calls or what have you there is no guarantee that the replacement official will be any better. Actually, I would probably think that the noob official would be worse than the more experienced guy he replaced. Besides, teams need to be able to win on their own. I have no tolerance for the excuse that chimes around officiating costing the team the game. If any team was really that much better or more deserving of a victory they would have made that first down instead of taking points on 4th and 2. The quarterback would not have thrown that interception. The DL would have penetrated the backfield and forced a fumble rather than lying down and letting the chains crew do their thing. Officiating and by extension of that, bad officiating, play such a minor role in the actual outcome of a game it's not worth getting too upset about an iffy call, replay or no replay. This game has been played for decades without the benefit of instant replay. It doesn't need it. The game is won and lost at the actual line of scrimmage. Not under the replay hood.

Sorry but if you get a call wrong AFTER you look at it from every angle then no, I have no tolerance for it and never will have a tolerance for it. No excuses for that.

Like that's what you're really talking about? It's not. That doesn't happen very often at all. That's like me having no tolerance for Hitler. He's dead. He isn't going to hurt anyone. You are really just talking about poor officiating in a very general sense. C'mon, the implementation of a three strikes policy? Have the team make a damn play. Half a toe on the white sideline isn't ever the difference. B.S. calls from officials are just part of the equalizer. If they called EVERYTHING that really happened the game would be unwatchable. Sometimes doing less of their job is them doing a good job. But Eddy, you seem to have got REAL SPECIFIC all of a sudden about what is not "tolerable"... are you telling me that is a frequent enough occurrence to make termination mandates? I don't think it is. Tolerance or no tolerance the impact league wide in minimal. I think low pass completion percentages are a far larger factor in a loss than a bogus reviewed call. When quarterbacks completes a larger percentage of passes than percentage of calls an official correctly makes there might be something to talk about. But as it stands officials get it right more than 98% of the time. Don't you think it would be a little unreasonable to demand a 98% pass completion rate out of Kerry Collins or for that matter, any quarterback? Teams don't lose because of officials. They lose because the were not good enough and/or fortunate enough. If you are good enough you don't need good fortune. Sometimes though you are fortunate to win although despite not being good enough. That's just part of the game.

I was expecting it to be higher. He's got a history, and he had two back to back plays that were pretty brutal.

Also, he signed a new contract, he's not playing for his 7th round contract anymore.

he's appealing the decision the fine. that's good because the NFL only fined him because of the type of player he is. The NFL is going to have to learn to let the players play, otherwise they all might as well be wearing flags.
