The Falcons passing attack looked just fine on Saturday night against the Titans, something that’s sure to warm the hearts of Falcons fans.

They’ll probably be less happy about the fact that the Titans put up some big plays of their own through the air. Jake Locker finished his night with 12 completions in 18 tries for 188 yards and a 63-yard touchdown pass to Nate Washington. Locker’s numbers are all the more impressive because he wasn’t getting help from the ground game or an offensive line that allowed two sacks to go with plenty of other pressure.

Locker won’t be on the list of problems for the Titans to address this week, but the secondary will be. Devin Hester ran through it on a 31-yard touchdown and Julio Jones showed his surgically repaired foot is just fine by sprinting for a 52-yard score in the first half. Matt Ryan threw both touchdowns and was 18-of-23 for 224 yards overall in a very productive evening’s work.

Both teams have one more preseason game left to play and if either is going to give any of their starters work on Thursday, it will likely be their defensive backs.

I thought Locker was supposed to be inaccurate :troll:

Sadly no change from last year. Though Sankey did not play until the second half and McCluster only got a couple snaps. While Leon Washington got a ton of snaps.

The Locker knockers like to move the goal posts on you. When you point out that he plays well they say "Yeah, but he is hurt all the time." Then if you point out others like Matt Stafford who came back from being injury prone they go back to saying "Yeah, well Locker sucks." And it goes in a circle like that.

Or... we just say that until he does it when it matters... you know, not preseason- he's still no one to put any hope in to.

And I've said it a million times: Even if he does stay healthy, he's simply not a good quarter back.

Maybe that magically changes this year. Highly unlikely, but miracles do happen.

I hope you guys' blind faith ends up working.

Big TT Annoying the LEFT...it's what I do.

He is an OK QB when healthy....he has yet to show, at all, that he can be anything more than a second level type of guy. Not on Manning, Brady, Brees, Rogers level, not even on the level of Rivers. At his best he is shown perhaps to be at the Andy Dalton level without the playoff losses...or the appearances either.

My worry about Locker is that all his throws I've seen have been from shotgun

i like Locker, his style is rigid but at least he's fast and strong with an arm. If he was more fluid and relaxed with a bit more patience he'd be one of the best, he'd also get injured less probably. I think he will become an excellent quarterback, barring injury of course. He's a gifted kid who works hard.

You DONT know what a good QB is! You say Andrew Luck sucks, Luck is certainly over hyped but is a top 10 QB whether you like it or not. And locker is physically better than most QB's so get on the Locker Wagon you fake fan.
