Two Kings already posted this in one of the other :cj: threads. I do though agree it probably deserves its own thread. The least you could have done though is cite the Kuharsky article this data was published in :)

Yup you're right, that's all they did. CB's are the guys that prevent cut back lanes from opening up :shakehead: . I know you're purposely being overly simplistic but damn. The article you posted yesterday had a pretty good analysis of what defenses did against him. Like it or not, you know opposing teams schemed to stop him more so than any other one of our players. You don't have to admit it, but you know it's true. How much that scheming affected or should have affected CJ's success is where the debate lies not whether he was the focus of the opposing team's attention. A loaded box is not the only way a team can try to take away the run.

This is just JC's revenge for PK never citing him...

It will be blamed on the offensive line. Wherever :cj: ends up the run blocking will suck. Guaranteed.

    JCB is PK.

Notice they are never in the same room? Or state?

I was being serious. I could be wrong, but my biggest take away was that the only difference between the steelers, maybe it was the rams, and the other teams was that CJ grabbed those big runs when CBs failed to contain the outside.

I could have sworn that was the example that was being used.

I have no doubt that opposing defenses gameplanned for CJ when facing the Titans (and that goes way beyond just stacked boxes). He's really the only thing even remotely resembling a homerun hitter we've had the past few years. So that's not the issue for me. My problem is his inability/unwillingness to do anything about it. Poor OL or no poor OL, poor coaching or no poor coaching, stacked boxes or no stacked boxes, he was being hailed and PAID as this bigtime playmaker and in reality he was anything but.

He was just all "muh blokkn idn't dat good and tings like dat".
