FA targets

I doubt we can get multiple premium FAs tbh although the giants kind of did last year. Seems a bit unlikely though.

I do like T.Johnson.

 

They tagged him last year. They're not paying him 120% of what hes getting now.

 

I would be more than happy to dish out big money to whichever one comes available between Poe and Berry...they are both young stud players and I just don't see the Chiefs being able to keep both.

I don't see the need to look a bunch at the FA OL market. We will be returning our entire starting unit for a total cap hit of 13.85mil.

 

Keep building with draft and FA for depth...

has anyone else taken note of how many key players on this team are pretty young?

 

I don't want many FAs but it's damn near impossible not to salivate at the idea of Berry. I agree we should keep building through the draft and get depth through FA, but if there's a chance to get a serious game changer like Berry in a position of need, you have to pull the trigger.

 

We need to use FA for more than just depth. We are going to have 50mil in cap space.

We need to be smart with our cap because we will have to sign Mariota to a big time deal in several yrs, but while he is cheap we need to go ahead and front load a few starting quality veteran players of our own to new deals or sign a few top end FAs to deals.

I'm pretty sure JRob knows the awesome window he is in right now and how he needs to handle it.

 

Too bad it isn't a loaded FA class. Berry would obviously be worth whatever the market demands. But they have money they absolutely must spend, so I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Berry would be nice but I'm thinking he'll be a Falcon.

 

A guy I'd like to see us go after is Kenny Stills off of the Dolphins. He isn't and elite guy but he would add needed deep threat to our offense. Matthews, Sharpe, and Stills would be a decent group of guys for Marcus.

Other then that I'd like to see us grab a vet CB for some depth and re-sign Spain, Kline, and Klug to some reasonable deals. It might also be time to start thinking about getting Lewan paid seeing as he is closing in on his 5th year option.
