Yeah, we can't do much worse at the WR position with what we have now. I wouldn't mind seeing Jmac back in Titans' two tone blue again but we do definitely need to do better than him.

He's using his Dinger card to get a look.

I haven't seen McCareins do squat the last two seasons. I don't see any upside. This is a guy they may give a workout to and file away for any open spots after the draft.

Yeah exactly were going to settle again on a guy past his prime and not very good for what to add to our already bad group of WR's. Adding bad to bad doesn't make good.

At least Hackett and Johnson were behind good WR's and still produced solid #'s. Add to that they are both young with high ceilings.

McCareins did well for NY the first 2 seasons. Had over 700 yards in both, but they said he made Mangini's "crap list" by something he did during practice, or something he didn't do. Not sure which, but I remember commentators talked about how he was trying to get PT and get back on the coach's good side.

He went from almost 50 receptions a season to the low 20s (over 4 seasons). I think it was more a result of him not getting opportunities than him simply not doing anything.

Tag this thread for 10 months from now but I think the Titans will dramatically improve in the passing game next season and it'll be due to Young, the Dinger factor and the development of guys already on the roster.

    B. Jones and R. Williams should continue to improve. Gage is a lock and Davis, Ealy and P. Williams will make their big jumps from their rookie seasons.

Everyone on the roster has upside.

Add to the mix a day-one draft pick and you have your WRs core.

The Titans will cover themselves based on what they see at OTAs. They will bring in one or two guys (such as a McCareins) to compete in training camp. M. Williams will get a final shot.

But with there not being any #1 WR options in free agency beyond Moss, I don't see a lot of changes coming at WR. We have to hope it works out like the DE situation last year where guys on the current roster step up.

He played in every regular season game the last two seasons. One TD. Less than 600 yards total.

Cotchery had over 1,130 yards last season alone.

Sounds like what everyone was saying last offseason.

Just because he played doesnt mean he was being thrown to. And he obviously wasn't.
For instance: Ben Troupe played 16 games here this season. I bet we didnt throw to him more than 15 times.

Right. Coach wanted him on the field but didn't want to throw to him.

It couldn't be because of his performance, eh?
