Been watching more film on the edge guys....I was surprised to see how many of Rousseaus sacks came from him lining up inside and just out quicking the guard. I'm not sure he gets away with that at the pro level, but it is intriguing to think about Landry, Rousseau, Autry, Dupree as a pass rush package

Yeah, you look at Rousseau and you look at his measurables and sacks and get the idea of this prototypical speed edge guy. And that isn't his game at all.

I'm beginning to think more and more that since we already have our two starting edge guys (Landry, Dupree) that we wait to take a pass rusher.

If we wait until the 3rd, there are still some guys there that have talent. I really like Rashad Weaver from PITT and Quincy Roche from Miami. Need to go find tape on more of the mid-round guys. Anybody have a mid-round edge guy you like?

I can understand why you have this opinion, he's a very raw player, but he only started playing football as a HS Sr. 3 years is misleading given he was a situational guy for 2 of them and the 3rd was all screwed up because of Covid and had 24 total ganes played in college.

Watching tape he has a high motor and gets pressure often enough to not concern me. He'a a guy I'd prefer to try to trade up for an earlier 2nd to get ideally rather than take at 22. If we still had Wash coaching the DL/pass rush I'd be all for him at 22, but as it stands I'd consider him there only if the positions and players we'd rather draft have runs ahead of us.

He is an amazing athlete, but yeah very raw. College production was very weak.

I would love to see us take a chance on Chris Garrett in the 6th/7th as a developmental OLB. Use him to spell our pass rusher and learn.i think he could end up the steal of the draft.

He’s not an edge, but living in NC had a lot of opportunity to see Alim McNeill. He’s a wrecking ball for the 3rd round.

I like Basham but feel he fits the 4-3 scheme better...I don't want him dropping into pass coverage. In our scheme I would see him more as a DT than the rush OLBer.
