I have been reluctant to say this is a 100% Fisher issue...because for all the reasons that have been discussed on this board I just cannot wrap my brain around this being as "simple" a problem as that. However, the more I do try to figure out what has changed in the two halves of the season so far I do wonder if Fisher is so set in his ways regarding game play style and resulting game plans he is approving that the players are seeing it is not working, teams are adjusting without any real adjustment on the part of the Titans and therefore they are totally frustrated. I have often wondered if the defense has been making some adjustments on their own on the fly resulting in the appearance of confusion. I don't know, but I do feel that the coaching philosophy and failure to make adjustments to that over the past several years is starting to now show its obsolescence.

Ok...I understand that "job satisfaction" is important for the everyman...and to a degree to these players because this is what they do and have done all their lives...but come on. These guys can play for 5-6 years and know they are set for life, if they are half way smart with their money. I would work for the biggest d*ck on the planet for 5 years with a smile if I knew on that last day I could walk away and go spend my days on the beach. 99% of these guys will never sniff the HOF...so its not like they are playing for legacy...these guys play for money which is why FA has made the game such a mess and so expensive anymore.

With that being said...money is a big factor for Bud and I would be all up in someones faces about what has been on the field the past few weeks if I was signing the checks. I would be finding out what the problem is and fixing it now so that the rebuilding/retooling for next year starts now...not during training camp.

Yea, nothing this ugly could be all on 1 person. Simply being the head coach, Fisher has to bear the bulk of the responsibility for fixing it. Fortunately one of his greatest accomplishments as a head coach is "leading the team out of an 0-6 start".

My entirely fact-deprived opinion is that this began with Fisher in 2 ways 1) his poor game planning this year and 2) his poor handling of Vince's pout fit. I don't know, I haven't been in the locker room or in the practices or in the meeting rooms. That's just how it looks through my very foggy window.

But now it's much more than Fisher. Where are the leaders in the locker room? Have we seen any Keith Bullucks on the sideline this month, getting in someone's face to fire them up? Ok, so the FO those guys go, but that's life in the NFL. KB was a young guy once.

Who on offense has the personality, tenure and on-field productivity to do that, though? Gage? Fighting for a place on the team now. Nate? Kinda new still. Collins? Lame-duck QB. Scaife? What, without Vince? Hall? Maybe, but not really a key position to have that impact. Britt? Injured and still has the brand-new-car smell. Moss? Sadly probably the best option. Randy Moss is the lone personality with a voice of reason and the chops to back up his talk. But he's just trying to lay low and get out of here.

When I think about it, Vince IS currently the only leader on this offense. First off, you want the QB to be your leader to begin with. He's charismatic and emotional (yes, too much off the field), he's vocal. And he's gone. He's not just gone, he's effectively banished. And to make it worse, his last words to the team were a bombshell that undermined the coach who may have had a credibility problem to begin with. He didn't start the fire... but he sure fanned the flames. He's the problem and a solution. I don't see this fixed without bringing Vince back, clearing the air between him and Fish, and getting him on the sidelines. Or getting rid of both him and Fisher, but fortunately/unfortunately he played too well this season for that.

Not if you cared about your job.

I'm probably way off but your job is big part of your life.

If it's gone sour it's hard to live with. If you and your team mates don't think that your coaches are giving you the best chance to win I'd imagine it would be hard to keep focus on the fat check.

There's just no way a 5+ game skid should be tolerated 2 seasons in a row.

Yeah, here is where I do agree with your statements. I do think these guys want to win...they have to be incredibly competitive in order to get out there and play with pains we probably would be bed ridden with. So I don't doubt they want to win and I believe they are frustrated with some of the defensive/offensive calls they are getting.

I remember last year when KB several times would make gestures to the sidelines after a play that I could only interpret as "WTF are you calling over there...can't you see what they are doing???"

I really liked Eddie George. He was great for most of his career. But he really needs to be quite here. He played hard up until the point he got knocked the F out in that Steelers game. After that, he started laying down when someone started grazing him.
Well sorry I guess he can say something because if anyone would know lack of effort it was E. George after waking up from that hit. Never the same.
