Was a funny guy. Looked a lot like Paul Prudomme as he got older.

Mmmmm... Paul Prudhomme... I could eat at K-Paul's twice a week.

I'll always remember DD as the mobster in Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

He was actually pretty decent in the film "Fail Safe". It was one of his first features and a rare dramatic role. He always seemed like a genuinely great guy... hard to feel to bad for him though, I think he lived life to the fullest.

Dom published his first cookbook in 1988 called "eat this it will make you feel better".

My mom gave me the book for Christmas in 1990 and i still love it today. He is, was the son of southern Italian immigrants and grew up in Brooklyn and quite a few down home recipes there as well as some nice anecdotes about his childhood like how his mom used to warm his clothes in the oven so they would be nice and warm before he left for school on cold days.

He was best friends with burt reynolds, mel brooks and ann bancroft(Anna Maria Louisa Italiano) who of course is married to brooks and starred with dom in "fatso" a classic. His friends contribute recipes for the book.

Dom was always smiling, always laughing. He brought joy to many people and had a very loving relationship with his kids.

RIP the world is a better place because of you..
