Do you eat Filipino food?

    Of course there's a very large Filipino population here, and I've had chicken adobo (which is pretty dang good) but everything else I've sen on the menus looks like their equivilent of chitlins and tripe stew. My wife is an awesome chef but I notice that she doesn't ever cook Filipino or recommend any Filipino dishes...and all she ever does is think abojtnfood and food culture. There's a tree here which is supposedly a regular ingredient...all parts, from seed pod to bark to roots...and eating a tree doesn't sound very good.
    Y'all got any strength, hope and experience to share about this?

    One of my good friend is Filipino. Family moved here about 30 years ago. His mom makes the absolute best egg rolls ive ever had. Along with a lot of other dishes that are pretty damn good.

    Well, that's what I thought too, but I knew a Filipino girl and she said they eat that a lot in the Philippines and was her fave food, so I think it counts

    Sickest I’ve ever seen anyone in my life from food was in the Philippines. They had to fly in a doctor to save my father in law.
    That and being ill the entire two weeks I was there pretty much did me in :( for pino-grubs.
