The truth is a lot of pedestrian backs have gone 10 years and 8k yards. It's realistic. CJ2K lost a step, had a predestrian career, and he still had 10 years and nearly 10k yards. Henry is going be here for a while and he should catch Eddie George by the end of it. That would be a solid career. if he can add a super bowl he'll be our second best back ever. The only pedigree guys who never really lived up to having a lengthy career was Mike Rozier, and Maybe Lorenzo White. Henry should crack 10k and I'd say right now he's probably in our top 5 backs all time.

If he sticks around long enough to reach 10K, he was a steal in the draft.
I wouldn’t put him top 5 yet though. Gary brown, Chris brown, even Travis Henry might still be better from a titans career perspective.
Henry needs more time to continue what he’s doing and I think he’s capable of being at least up there on the notable team backs.

he's very jeckle/hyde, sometimes he looks scared to run hard up the middle, then other times he looks possessed and wants to destroy someone's soul

wish he'd channel the latter for the whole game

He's a baby rhino and thrives after getting past that second level of defenders & picking up speed. He's just not that type of back to cut and change direction quickly. Speed is what he needs to be an absolute wreaking ball. But if he's not able to accelerate in time, then we have issues like the game vs Jaguars.

The game vs the Jaguars was a disaster against their DLine. No one on offense had success and even worse, neither the run or pass was even remotely succeeding to help the other.
  7. Fry

Fry Welcome to the land of tomorrow!

The book has been out on him for a while.

Seal the edge so he can't break it outside. Make him move his feet in the backfield. The play is dead. The Patriots did it in the playoffs. The Jags did it week 17 of that same season. Henry did basically nothing in the running game in both games. The Chiefs missed the memo and Henry killed them the week between those games.

Do you guys realize that every running back gets shut down once in a while? Fry’s boy had a horrible game last week. Zeke has a sub 40 yard game this season. Henry is more productive than most in the league. Be happy that we have a back that we can consistently rely on.

Hopefully the last game (vs falcons) can be the blueprint for overall offensive success. Throw early, particularly on first downs, score early, turn the d lose, and then feed BDH in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Nothing ground breaking in any of this....we'll see.
