Titans defensive end Dave Ball isn’t practicing on Sunday because of concussion symptoms.

Ball was hit in the nose during Thursday night’s practice and has been experiencing headaches ever since, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Because of Ball’s history of concussions he is being closely evaluated by the team.

Ball said following a concussion last year he considered retirement. He signed a one-year deal with the Titans this offseason.

He's had a lot of them. Supposedly, it get easier once you've had a few.

He's got a glass jaw now, I expect him to be done for health reasons. Thanks for being an overachiever Dave!

Titans defensive end Dave Ball missed practice again on Sunday because of concussion-like symptoms, and his condition is being monitored because of his history of concussions.

Ball, in his eighth NFL season, was hit in the nose during the latter part of Thursday’s practice and has been experiencing headaches ever since, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Ball won’t travel with the team to Monday’s practice with the Falcons in Dalton, Ga.

After suffering a concussion last season, Ball said he considered retirement before opting to return. He signed a one-year deal. Indications are Ball has no immediate plans to retire, and instead plans to see if the symptoms will subside.

Ball did not attend Sunday’s practice and he wasn’t available in the locker room. Coach Mike Munchak would only say that Ball’s absence was for personal reasons.

“There’s not much more we can report,” Munchak said. “There’s something he’s dealing with and we’re waiting to hear from him. It’s a personal issue he’s dealing with and that’s pretty much all I know.”

Sorry but you can't just retire the ball sacks. You can't.
