No way known any player on any team anywhere holds that. Pure helmet on ball, I don't blame him for it.

I completely agree. Once I saw the replay I felt bad for him because I knew everyone would immediately bring up his fumble in the playoffs. Alge has a history of holding on to the ball pretty well, better than most actually. He's still a solid player.
That said, I'd love to see Cook get more involved.

I'm sure someone will blame Fisher or Collins.

This one may have not been his fault, but he's going to continue to catch flak if he keeps putting the ball on the ground or letting balls bounce off the numbers every other game.

doesn't matter, a fumble is a fumble. He's paid to hold onto the ball, and he puts it on the floor to much, Period.

This is a dumber thread then the trade for T.O. thread.

he was holding out like a loaf of bread. Tuck the ball in, that doesn't happen. It was a great play by the defender though. I have little sympathy for a guy whose defining moment in his career was fumbling a game away. I won't give him any leash in my book. He should never fumble again after that display in the POs. I understand what you mean though Gunny, most people would've fumbled too.

The only fumble I've felt bad for is when Eddie was knocked unconscious that one time and dropped it. Anybody remember that? Towards the end of his time here.

He went in to 2 defenders holding the ball with 1 hand.

That's ALWAYS the offensive players fault. Always. That's pop warner.

Not only does he hold the ball with one hand like a loaf of bread he dives into defenders and contorts his body to try and pick up a few more yards all while holding the ball AWAY from his body with one paw on it..dude, cover the effin ball up, you think he would've learned his lesson, guess he's forgotten about last year.

I'm sorry but I have no sympathy or tolerance for this guy anymore.
