wp_ss_20151129_0001.png everyone knows the deep ball isn't everything, and its very hard to be good at, but good is relative to the curve. Noone expects him to be big Ben, but average would be nice..

now dont waste your breath with the "well he has no wr's or o line etc.."

yes I know its true, I saw it last year....but anyway you want to shake it hes flat out bad in that area. Great in others, hes still a good yound QB, but his deep game es muy mal

This is an interesting comp, but it's worth noting that Carr was bad on deep passes last season and made a huge leap as a sophomore.

Yes, this is an insane idea and I'll explain why. First, Mariota has a LOT MORE value now than he did before because we know he's the equivalent of about a top 10 QB right now and that's on a terrible team. So why would we give him up for the package that frankly wasn't good enough in the first place. To make matters worse, you're not even replacing Mariota with their pick but we'd have to take a QB with OUR pick wich would mean we are also losing the value of trading up from #7 to #1...which itself would be a hefty price. Also, is Jared Goff any sure thing? Additionally, the Eagles players are a year older and a year more expensive and we'd be throwing this year of improvement for our starting QB away and starting again.

Frankly, the ONLY way this would make sense is IF the Eagles had the #1 pick overall and gave up a package of something like #1, #2, and #3 this year and #1 in 2016 and #1 in 2017....and we might need some players too. Realistically, that is the level of value of what we have. No one will give that up on either side (you don't trade away a rookie franchise QB who is playing very well) and no one will trade that much capital for one player...even the perfect storm of mariota having a 90+ qb rating on a bad team going to the perfect offense that he could lead and satatistically be a top 5 QB or better.

Not to mention the fans would knock down Webster's house and riot if after all this time of NOT having a franchise QB, we finally have one and we immediately trade him away?

Guys, Mariota is playing as a rookie, and think about what he can become after a couple of development years. The stick though is we need consistency at the coaching positions for that to happen. All that **** needs to be sorted out THIS offseason. Clean house so we can officially start the MM8 era.
