I haven't scouted any of the QB's yet in depth but I will be. Hoping to see a player worth a team trading up for Lol

We finally find a QB (hardest thing to do in sports), and you suggest trading him? No, no, no......

Did nobody here actually read what I wrote?

I proposed the idea of trading him for a QB drafted first overall (plus multiple first-round picks, more draft picks and several Pro Bowl-caliber players).

There's a QB on both sides of the equation. This isn't calculus.

Then I asked why or why not it would be a good idea.

Asked and answered..... we have found an NFL caliber QB. No way do we need to go back into the draft pool and flounder for another decade. It isn't going to happen anyway, and if it was seriously being considered, I would probably be done with this franchise and take up watching golf instead.

Fair enough. Everyone here seems convinced Mariota is a can't-miss star (and Goff sucks).

I think there's a much wider range of possible outcomes.

    I'd trade a new Ferrari for a GTR, a 370Z, a nice truck, a nice SUV, and maybe a few classic Nissan/Datsuns.

This is absolutely the right answer. Would Mariota's deep passing be as bad if we actually had a WR capable of getting separation? NO. We saw him in the preseason throwing deep and looking good. At least I did. However, it was against guys who mostly were back ups or didn't make rosters at DB. I think his deep ball can & will improve. I have faith in this kid. He cares about the game and the people he is playing with. He has put up several catchable deep passes. We just do not have a WR with the skill to get to it. Don't get me wrong, he has thrown some bad ones as well. However, he is a rookie and this SHOULD be expected.

Although I had hope at the beginning of the season; this group of WRs is horrible. I still hold out hope that DGB will develop; but I believe that we need a new WR coach before it will happen. There have been too many talented WRs come out and through TN during Jefferson's tenure; for NONE of them to work. While other teams will pick up and develop undrafted WRs for the slot; we spend 1st round picks & still need more.

this is literally a ridiculous post. If you only been "seriously scouting for 5 years" how the f do you know what a h.o.f. QB looks like in college. You haven't even seen anyone you "scouted" enter their prime lmao. Wow
