Cowboys line set movement from the Landry Days?

    Ok I'm trying to describe that thing the Cowboys OL used to do back in the day - to a younger friend. He of course thinks I'm insane and insists no such thing existed.

    OL would come to the line, Staubach or Danny White or whoever would call out to set the line and the OL would do this Up/Down set movement. I always thought it was quite cool and wondered if the league did away with movement or if teams could still do it.

    Any idea what the hell that was called, and if its still legal?

    we already do similar stuff before the snap, but this isnt something we're just going to pick-up week-18, youd want this installed in camp and worked on a bit before you pulled it out. CBA today limits the time guys get with coaches, thats probably why its been phased out.

    I just watched a vid where Dallas did it a few years back against the Saints at the end of the game. They didn't get it as smooth as the old Cowboys did..

    And no, I imagine it would look absurd trying to get a team to go with it during a season. Especially a team as ineffective on offense as the Robiskie Raccoons..
