  1. Every PC laptop should have it. Every time I try to fix someone's laptop I do it and it doesn't work. But they all seem to have that idiot scroll edge on the right and tap to click turned on!

I need to do this 2 finger scrolling. I hate the edge scroller... haven't messed with the settings though.

So what makes you think the same person would be able to use a MAC?

  4. My point is that it wouldn't be any harder for her to learn how to use a Mac...

If we are talking from someone who has never used a computer. Sure.

If we are talking transfer from PC to MAC. I disagree.

  6. I've seen it from both sides. There's not much difference.

To me, that's kind of the point. There isn't a difference. Macs aren't inherently simpler or more intuitive or easier to use. They aren't more difficult, either, unless you've been using a PC for a decade and it's all you know. However, either system requires a substantial amount of learning to use.

  8. Desktop user interfaces are pretty mature at this point. It makes sense that they are so similar nowadays. Especially as Apple and Microsoft have a patent sharing agreement on desktop OSes.
