Will we be getting a compensatory pick for Randy Moss? Not sure how that works but technically he ended the season as a Titan and we will more than likely lose him to FA. If there is a FA period that is.

The more I think about it, it's really the only reason I think that Fisher claimed him. Because he sure as h3!! didn't do it to help us win.

How will the compensatory picks even work this year? If there's no CBA then there's not FA and then there's no comp picks, right?

We need to reach a CBA agreement quick. My guess is it will get done later than expected, but avoid a lockout.

Also, comp picks are for the year before I believe. Correct me if i'm wrong. So Randys comp pick would come in the 2012 Draft.

I doubt we get any great comp picks this year, we only lost: Alge Crumpler, Kyle Vanden Bosch, Keith Bulluck, and Tye Hill.

You are absolutely right. I forgot they take into account performance of the first year in the new contract, not just contract length/money.

Did we even lose anyone who played well last year? KVB was "meh" in Detroit and Bulluck didn't do a thing for the Giants.

Frankly, Witherspoon and Babin outplayed those guys, so I wouldn't think we'd get anything back for them...

I believe that if a player has been in the league a certain number of seasons, they don't apply. I think I recall last year's thread on this having some info.

I don't think we'll see anything this year.

I thought the word was Crumpler played well for the Pats, just in a blocking role.

While that is an important part of being a tight end.....I doubt it will do anything to gain enough attention to warrant us a higher pick.

I seem to recall reading on espn sometime back, that since he was picked up through the waivers system, by not resigning him we can get a 3rd day pick in return...want to say it's like an extra 6th round...maybe 5th but that doesn't seem right

Moss has been in the league too long for us to get any picks for him.

From what I've read I don't believe we will receive any compensatory picks this year.
