That's been the story with this franchise for 40 years. That's why these Sunshiners just don't get it.

Nah but he doesn’t have an internal clock for when to get rid of the ball.

And just spazzes out when pressure arrives.

So many lesser athletic qbs are better at evading and buying time. Marcus folds.

 

Marcus is horrendous at manipulating the pocket. He has no idea when to step up, scramble to the side, or when the pressure is too close and he needs to get rid of it.

This is by far his worst trait.

 

I think Mariotas problem is that he doesn't recognize the blitz post-snap. On a number of plays I noticed Mariota kept looking to the left of the field when the Colts were bringing two blitzers from the right. In that situation you should have a hot route or at least a favourable matchup on the right.

 

The team as a whole just bend over as soon as they hear Andrew Luck and colts.
That's the F**king problem.

10 straight times to the same dude.

Aaron Rogers no problem
Drew Brees no problem
Tom Brady finally beat him.

But , Andrew Luck. Nope they just bend over. Repeatedly

 

Mariota had the one bad INT...but he was 10/13 for the game. Hard to blame him for this one.

He did hold the ball too long a couple of times. But most of the time he didn't have an opportunity to hold the ball for too long because the OLine was getting punked.

The most surprising thing was how bad the D was. Zero pressure on Luck meant all he had to do is sit back for a few seconds and someone would be open. This D is always playing soft but it works when there's plenty of pressure on the QB....when there is none, it's pitch and catch for any QB.
