Graf, one of the biggest donors at Memphis, and RC Johnson, AD of Memphis both made the "wow" statement.

I'm asking who said that Pastner was the guy they wanted all along? No one is saying that. He is about as good a hire as they wanted though. The guy's a genius, one of the best recruiters in memphis, and was the x's and o's coach at Memphis while Cal was just the "alright, lets go guys! Focus!" type.

So whether it's who they originally wanted or not, it's a good move. If the guy was older, someone else would have scooped him up in a heartbeat.

Coach Caliapri will lead the 'cats to the Final Four in one..maybe 2 years. If we can land DeMarcus Cousins (which looks like will happen tomorrow at the earliest) and John Wall (good chance of the happening), then I expect to be at Lucas Oil Stadium around this time next year.

I'm doubting either follow Cal, but it's possible. Either way- Kentucky will do well if doing well means making Final 4s or Elite 8s. But they still wont win it with Cal, and I think that's what matters to them. His bad coaching will be put on display, and he'll get the ax.

There is a 99.9% chance that DeMarcus Cousins will come to Kentucky, I know that. Nolan Dennis is a good shot to come as well. Not to sure about John Wall now that UNC has come into the picture. And apparently Xavier Henry is thinking about following, but I see him as a Jayhawk.

As for his coaching...I think a record of 446-139, 11 NCAA Tourney appearences, 7 Sweet Sixteens, 5 Elite Eights, 2 Final Fours, and 1 Title Game speaks for itself.

Xavier Henry is a 0% chance. So if you have a source that's even mentioning him, get off that message board. I could see Cousins doing it, but even he's a slim chance.

You think a bunch of sweet sixteens, elite 8s, a couple final 4s and one BLOWN title is going to cut it at Kentucky? Do you even know your own team? lol They have higher standards than that.

He had the best talent in the nation @ Memphis for the last 4 years. What'd he do with it?

I think it's funny. All these UK fans that were bashing Cal before are now acting like he's going to be the savior. My mom's side of the fam are all Kentucky fans, and we get in heated debates over the holidays concerning the overrated SEC in football and Kentucky basketball.
Anyway... they and other UK fans I know would always down Cal due to his talent and no wins. They were right. I knew it. But of course they think otherwise now.

I believe Xavier and his father know a little more than what your acting like you do.

What did he do with the talent at Memphis? It's not like he went to a title game and a few Elite Eight's with it.

And question: When did UK fans bash Calipari? If I recall, he was the fans choice 2 years ago, and again in the most recent change. Nobody ever bashed him, that statement is false.

And you lost all credibility by saying that SEC football is overrated. That's laughable.

Overall, you just sound like a pissed-off Memphis who knows your program is going right where it should be without your potential future HOF coach and his top 3 recruiting classes. Good luck with that new coach, whatever his name is.

Well...your 'slim chance' must have grown a little bit. DeMarcus Cousins has just committed to the University of Kentucky.

Well, he's more fickle than I had originally thought. Though he wasn't one I was ever impressed with by tape.

And yes, plenty of Kentucky fans that I come in to contact with bashed Cal while Kentucky sucked and I rubbed it in their faces. But again, this is natural. I bash Shaq, but if he came back to the Lakers? I might change tune.

Uh. Xavier Henry's father? The guy that might be hired at Memphis? lol How about his BROTHER also, the kid that clearly stated Memphis is still his #1? Hmmm...

Again- I could not possibly care less that Cal and his coaching ineptitude is gone. All I worried about was not having the talent. But now that we've got a top 5 recruiter? ha! Cal is easily replaceable.
You guys should have stuck with Gillispie.

Oh. And you'll know his name. The kid was coaching AAU teams (and future NBA stars) to championships while he was still in diapers. He was mentored by Lute Olson. He won a championship playing. He won one coaching. He's got more experience than guys twice his age. He graduated in 2 years. He's known as one of the most successful recruiters "of all time".
Get on the bandwagon. He might have Memphis in a Final 4 before Cal has Kentucky in it.
