When running back Chris Johnson thinks back to the Titans’ previous game against Jacksonville, one memory comes rushing back.

“The fumble on the first play of the game,” Johnson said. “The play that we had called was a nice play, and we had a positive gain on it. But (Paul Posluszny) made a nice play and knocked the ball out of my hands … I kind of felt like it sucked the whole momentum out of the stadium after that first play.”

It didn’t help that Jacksonville not only recovered at the Titans’ 19-yard line, but scored the opening touchdown just three plays later.

“We allowed (the fumble to hurt us),” Titans coach Mike Munchak said. “Then unfortunately the defense gave up a touchdown, so it went from bad to worse.

“But if that had been the end of it, that would have been alright. But unfortunately, we followed it up with a few more turnovers — a fumble for the touchdown and a safety and on and on.”

In 268 touches this season – 230 runs and 38 receptions — Johnson has fumbled just twice this year.

“Every time I fumble the ball it’s very frustrating,” Johnson said. “When you don’t (usually) have a problem fumbling the ball it’s not something you think about. But sometimes you can get lackadaisical with it or whatever, so that’s why you just have to hold it up tight on your chest.”

They had CJ jerseys for sale in Jacksonville for like 15-20 dollars over the summer when I was there.

No Cecil Shorts, Justin Blackmon, MJD and more than half their offensive line missing. We'll probably still lose this week.

No we are going to beat the chit out of them. A real Country azz-whupping.

And their GM and fans are going to be chuckling quietly "Please Brer Rabbit don't tho us in da briar patch" as their draft order stays in shape after this COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS GAME!

That fumble was the tip of the iceberg. We needed to call Winston Wolf after that cluster fudge

Can we at least play the benny hill theme while watching the game? Cj will be falling over before anyone touches him, Fitzy will be throwing picks, and Munch will be on the sidelines reading "Football for dummies, third season edition".
