    1. i think his inconsistencies have more to do with the pathetic receiving corps he has been saddled with over 2 years. Its very likely that his entire WR corps from 2015 wont even be on an nfl roster this year, except for Wright. Lets not pretend like it was much better last year. He had Sharpe who was basically Justin Hunter if you had no other choice but to start him all year. Mathews didnt come on until mid way through the season. Johnson wasnt sure whether he wanted to keep playing, and it showed. Wright was mr unreliable. Harry was Harry. No QB in the league can be effective with that. There isnt a comparable group of WRs in the NFL to prove differently.
    Now fumbling is a concern though.

    That deep ball got significantly better from year 1 to 2... Better pocket awareness as well.

    Really only so much a guy is going to grow each year, Im happy to see the growth I have...

    Outside in injury, he has been better than Winston...Yet, everyone doesn't give Marcus his props. He did it without weapons too. Winston has had weapons since day 1.

    That's fine! But that's not the argument of the thread. Is he the league's most overlooked SUPERSTAR? No.

    That whole concept is stupid anyway. No superstar QB is overlooked. There are so few of them that even ones who are merely good get propped up as great.

    I fully agree with you, Mariota isn't anywhere near close to being a SUPER star yet. He's not someone we can currently "trust" to deliver in any situation [outside of the Spread & Redzone], but you know on this forum after page 3, the topic doesn't apply to some people anymore.
